Website design for a streaming service specialising in classical music
Background
IDAGIO is the world’s leading streaming service for classical music driven by the mission to unite artists and listeners around their joint passion for classical music. They offer video and audio streaming to music lovers in over 190 countries worldwide with a uniquely tailored audio streaming service designed to meet the demands of classical music, featuring optimised metadata.
Approach
Idagio approached me to redesign their native app with a dark mode theme as well as redesign their website that would employ the same dark aesthetic and showcase their streaming services. This came at a crucial time for the business and their success online. The aim was to offer a seamless user experience between the website, desktop app and native app, increase conversion rate, improve rankings and meet the needs of listeners, artists and contributors.
The design
After the successful deployment of the Dark Mode theme across the app, my focus shifted to the website redesign and the creation of a clean, intuitive design showcasing the streaming services and the app with it’s sleek, modern, and more visually appealing interface. The design was created mobile first so that would it gracefully and seamlessly transform from desktop to mobile and tablet views.
The result
Since the redesign of the app interface and the website, streaming services expanded by 19% from 160 to 190 countries and the app saw a huge increase in downloads bringing the current total of app downloads to over 1.6 million. TIME Magazine also included IDAGIO in it’s ‘Best Inventions of 2019’.
